About Us

Applied Environmental Solutions, LLC (AES) was founded with the primary objective to provide high water quality and environmental services while meeting the budgets and scheduled deadlines of our projects. We offer a full range of water/wastewater, lake/pond treatment and wetland services. We strive to develop and maintain long-term relationships with our clients.

As a provider of services, we realize that we are only as good as our people. This, however, is the primary strength of Applied Environmental Solutions. We are a small, cohesive group of environmental professionals, experts in our areas of service and committed to serving our clients. Our staff possesses a wealth of technical expertise in the following key areas that are essential to providing quality environmental services: aquatic chemistry, biology, wetlands, fisheries, wildlife, statistics, and GIS.

Biosketches of our key environmental specialists are provided below:


Renee Martin, Wetlands/Water Specialist, monitors surface water in watersheds and streams, delineate wetlands, and consults in regards to lake and pond management.  She specializes in Wetland Delineation, Baseline Documentation Reports, Rain Gardens - Planting & Design, Lake and Pond Management, and Water Quality Monitoring Assessment, including Aquatic Toxicology and Fisheries Biology.

Education

  • B.S. in Water Resources with a double emphasis in Fisheries and Limnology, University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, 1996

Jennifer Hrabik, Environmental Specialist
, holds a B.S. in Fisheries & Wildlife from the University of Missouri. Ms. Hrabik has valuable knowledge in identification and collection of aquatic and terrestrial plant and animal species, along with invertebrates and zooplankton. Ms. Hrabik's been on a team of monitoring surveys for four endangered fish species: Niangua darters, Ozark cavefish, Neosho madtoms, and Topeka shiners. She performed water quality tests on site for the following parameters: dissolved oxygen, chloride, nitrogen, ammonia, phosphate, hardness, alkalinity, conductivity, pH, and turbidity. She collected various stream data using flow meters, and Hydrolab datasondes.






Suki Lycke,
a Stephens College graduate has over 10 years of experience in Management and Human Resources.  As a Business Administrator, Ms. Lycke has overall management responsibilities for the operations for the firm. In addition to supporting in all projects, she is also responsible for marketing and bid preparation.
